THIS AMENDS OUR RESPONSE TO THE SIMULCASTING QUESTION TO REFLECT THAT KWTX-TV IS SIMULCASTING ON ITS ANALOG CHANNEL AND ITS PRIMARY DIGITAL STREAM, AND TO LIST BOTH THE ANALOG AND DIGITAL CHANNELS TO WHICH THIS FORM APPLIES.

Section B (For broadcasters electing Option Two)

On its analog channel, and its primary digital stream, a station must run an average of 16 transition-related PSAs and 16 transition-related crawls, snipes, and/or tickers per week in each quarter, all between the hours of 5 a.m. and 1 a.m. It must also run one 30 minute DTV-related informational program once, and one 100-Day Countdown piece per day for the 100 days prior to the conclusion of the transition. Comment boxes MUST be used to describe these compliant activities (See rules for additional details).

KWTX-TV TERMINATED ANALOG SERVICE ON FEBRUARY 17, 2009. THESE CST'S AND PSA'S WERE AIRED FROM JANUARY 1 THROUGH MARCH 13, 2009, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FCC'S MARCH 13 ORDER ELIMINATING THE DTV TRANSITION EDUCATION REQUIREMENT FOR STATIONS THAT TERMINATED ANALOG SERVICE.

KWTX ASSISTED IN SETTING UP WALK-IN HELP CENTERS IN WACO, TEMPLE, AND KILLEEN AT LOCAL BEST BUY STORES TO ASSIST VIEWERS WITH THE DTV TRANSITION AND CONVERTER BOXES.

KWTX ASSISTED IN SETTING UP AND PROMOTING A PROGRAM TO HELP VIEWERS OBTAIN USED CONVERTER BOXES AND UNUSED COUPONS FOR CONVERTER BOXES.

KWTX COORDINATED WITH OTHER LOCAL STATIONS TO ENSURE EMERGENGY COVERAGE REMAINED IN PLACE FOR THOSE UNABLE TO RECEIVE THE DIGITAL SIGNALS.
