Noonbory and the Super Seven follows the adventures of a team of animated characters, who represent dynamic forms of the five senses, and their leader Noonbory, who engages them all to work together as a team. In each episode, the borys highlight instances in which assistance, cooperation and leadership result in success, while a group of mischief makers, called Gurys, demonstrate how taking greedy, selfish and deceptive actions leads to problems. This enchanted series is based on the books by Richard Scarry. The fictional city Busytown is an enchanting place that's abuzz with energy and life. Episodes are divided into multiple segments with different themes. The first and last segments involve the children in Busytown exploring their community. At the end of each segment the children have learned a little about their community and the world they live in. The middle segment shows children life in other cities featuring daily activities of adult characters in places such as Paris or Rome. Each episode includes two song segments in which the first, "Imagine That", teaches various things like general science to how banks work. The second song segment that teaches safety is called "Play it Safe". The aim of the series is to stimulate imagination and foster vicarious play, teach pro-social behavior (such as generosity, friendliness, persistence, altruism, understanding of others' points of view, empathy, acceptance of others' idiosyncrasies), help children move beyond family attachments to the world of friendships and community, help chldren develop skills on which academic learning depends such as attention, language, memory, active processing of a story and an interest in reading.

Along the way, they struggle with interpersonal issues such as how and why to work with people they do not really understand, the meaning and value of honesty, teamwork, perseverance, self-confidence, sharing credit, using each person's strengths while ignoring weaknesses and getting along in difficult situations. This program follows Bloom, an "ordinary" earth-girl as she develops her magical fairy powers. Winx Club explores coming-of-age, group problem solving, cooperative investigation and important social and emotional lessons of competence, resilience, empathy and self-confidence building. Bloom realizes through her development of magical skills and her relationship with the smart and hip fairies at the Alfea School that there is no such thing as "ordinary" when you believe in yourself and your abilities. The program centers around conflicts that arise such as good vs. evil or the known vs. the unknown. The program shows the viewer ways to resolve those conflicts through teamwork.

Andrew Speno and Jaime Cerreta, anchors, emceed the JDRF fundraiser awards dinner at the Will Rogers Theatre on August 10th. This awards dinner recognized the volunteers who raied $500,000 for Juvenile Diabetes. KOCB is a sponsor each year. Liz Dueweke, reporter, served as emcee for the Taste of Northwest OKC event at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum on September 23rd. Money raised from the event is donated to the OKC Chamber and goes toward scholarships for local high school students. KOCB sponsored the Food for Fashion Fundraiser at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma on September 25th. This fundraiser supports the Backpacks for Kids program. Danielle Vollmar, meteorologist, gave a weather presentation at Sequoyah Elementary on September 30th. She talked about severe weather, tornadoes, how they form and gave tips on how to stay safe. Danielle then showed a storm video and talks about her experiences chasing a hurricane and a tornado. She ends the presentation with a question and answer session. Wendy Dire, account executive, teaches a three hour class at the University of Oklahoma every Wednesday, August 25th through September 29th. She lectures to forty four students about selling radio and TV airtime. She brings in guest speakers such as radio/TV managers, clients and agency buyers. There is a question and answer session at the end of each class. The Scholar Athlete campaign features students being nominated each week for their efforts in the classroom as well as in sports. Each week a winner is highlighted in a promotional spot on air. At the end of the school year, the two grand prize winners are honored with a banquet for family and teachers and a scholarship for $1,500. This started back up in September. KOCB aired the educational and informational show, Missing, Sundays 530am. This program features actual cases of missing individuals across the country. Assisted by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the series features interviews with friends, family and investigators involved in the cases. The program emphasizes taking responsibility for personal safety and promotes situational awareness. Each week features safety tips, a safety quiz and an instructional message from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It is airing now as a core program, starting Thursday, September 9th. KOCB donates hours of time to public service announcements. This quarter some of those include Boystown, Shrek: Discover the Forest, Driversedge, Exploravision with Bill Nye, Looney Tunes encourages kids to get healthy and exercise, staying in school, sports safety, veggie hunter, water safety, Library of Congress, Big Brothers and Drug Free America.
