WHNS aired numerous public service announcements in children's time periods in first quarter. Topics included fire safety, environment, physical fitness, drugs & alcohol, education and the arts.
"Magic School Bus" was preempted on January 1, 2001, for Fox network sports programming, and it was not possible to reschedule such airing.
