The station airs a number of PSA which serve the educational and informational needs of children 16 years of age and under. In addition, the station airs more than 50 hours a week of local and network news and public affairs programs which present a mix of news, sports, and features that can further the development of the cognitive or intellectual needs of older children.
"Kidscast" - Every Friday morning a child in the viewing area (5th or 6th grade) has the opportunity to help do the weathercast live on air during the morning newscast.
