Describe the educational and informational objective of the program and how it meets the definition of Core Programming
Aqua Kids provides core programming in the area of biology and specifically the ecosystem related to the ocean, its tributaries and estuaries. Children can learn about the resources of the oceans and how protection of oceans is necessary to present and future generations. Not only does the show teach biological topics, but it aims to enrich children's lives by making them aware of future generations, the role they play now, and for generations into the future, with the biggest ecosystem on earth - the oceans. Each episode provides information related to a specific topic and gives an educational approach to understand the topic related to the entire ecosystem of the earth. Aqua Kids uses the technique of near peer mentors i.e., children to teach other children. Each episode employs Aqua Kids who ask questions and experience first hand the experience of the topic. For example, children might feed Manatees to experience the graceful, gentle nature of the animal and learn about their biology or dig through piles of silt dredged from the ocean depths to look for shark teeth to understand how shark continually grow teeth and lose old rows of teeth.

Describe the educational and informational objective of the program and how it meets the definition of Core Programming
Gladiators 2000 is a health focused, educational and dynamic sport competition with a very clear message for kids aged 13-16: develop a healthy body and a healthy mind. Both body and mind are nurtured in the program. Teams composed of kids are competing against each other in various games that require an alert and agile body. The program is interspersed with mini educational lessons that address health, structure and function of the human body and environment. The games proposed in the program are not only physical but also intellectual challenges. Quizzes that assess the content of the mini lessons are embedded into the games as well. Other topics like geography, language arts, literature and science are quizzed in a dynamic relay race. The nice blend of physical and mental challenge reinforces the program's message that children learn better if they are eating healthy food and practicing some kind of physical activity.

Describe the educational and informational objective of the program and how it meets the definition of Core Programming
VJ I AM.TV is an E/I video journalism series for children 13 and up. All video journalists featured share their stories, skills, passions and interests with their peers. After each segment, the host interviews the VJs to find out more about their experiences shooting the piece. This technique is implemented so that young people may identify with the experiences of the video journalists. Viewers are encouraged and given the confidence to seek their own identity through storytelling and video production. Additionally, in the weekly content, the series inspires teens by featuring examples of young people who are active in their communities.
Topics explored range from health, fitness and green awareness to sports and entertainment.

Include any other comments or information you want the Commission to consider in evaluating your compliance with the Children's Television Act (or use this space for supplemental explanations). This may include information on any other non-core educational and informational programming that you aired this quarter or plan to air during the next quarter, or any existing or proposed non-broadcast efforts that will enhance the educational and informational value of such programming to children. See 47 C.F.R. §73.671, NOTES 2 and 3.

KMYQ-TV endeavors to air public service announcements of educational and informational value geared towards children within our children's programming. A list of children's PSAs that aired during the quarter - including dates and times - can be found in the station's public inspection file. KMYQ ceased analog broadcasts on June 12, 2009. Thus, there were no analog broadcasts during the reporting period. The primary signal of station KCPQ, Tacoma WA is simulcast on KMYQ's channel 22.2 to improve signal coverage. The core programming for that channel is reported on KCPQ's Form FCC 398.
